A Strong Sense of Community at Rancho Mission Viejo’s Village of Rienda
Rancho Mission Viejo (January 17, 2025) - Scott and Laurie Sanchez have only been living in their new Rancho Mission Viejo home for a few short months, but it “already feels like home.” With three other family members living on The Ranch, it only felt natural for them to follow suit.
Scott and Laurie’s parents both live in Gavilán 55+ neighborhoods in Sendero and Esencia while Scott’s sister also lives in Esencia. Over the years, the couple visited their family members on The Ranch for backyard BBQ’s, bridal showers and more. They jumped at the opportunity to be even closer together when the new Village of Rienda opened and now get to watch their kids grow up alongside their cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
“The feeling of community here was a huge draw for us,” said Laurie. “We always dreamed of giving our kids the same kind of childhood we had – filled with a strong sense of community and a place to make lasting friendships.” The Sanchez’ have enjoyed that sense of community at the weekly farmers market, outdoor concerts, seasonal events, and at the many playgrounds scattered across The Ranch where their kids get to make new friends.
“I’m also active in a few local mom groups and have gone to several meetups. The Ranch has been the perfect place to raise our children, and for me to connect with other moms,” added Laurie.
The family purchased a brand new two-story, three-bedroom home with a loft in Trumark Homes’ Willow neighborhood in Rienda, conveniently located next door to Rienda Plunge and Playground, which the family visits often. “It’s like having a pool in our backyard, which is a huge perk with kids. Plus, we’ll be walking distance from the new Rienda school when it opens.
"It’s perfect timing for our daughter who will start kindergarten,” said Laurie. Laurie also recalls how “everything just seemed to fall in place” for them during the homebuying process. When they attended the grand opening, they weren’t expecting to find their dream home within just a few hours.
“We absolutely love living in a new construction home and couldn’t have asked for a floorplan better suited for our family. We have a fenced-in backyard for our dog and kids to run around and a loft for added space and comfort,” said Laurie.
The family has also taken advantage of The Ranch’s many other incredible amenities. They’ve hosted birthday parties, and bridal and baby showers at the clubhouses. “It’s been such a lifesaver to have beautiful, spacious venues to celebrate those special moments without worrying about crowding our house” added Laurie.
Laurie and Scott look forward to all of the amazing memories they will make with their family. “I’ve loved being a part of a growing, thriving community. The thoughtful planning of The Ranch makes me feel safe and taken care of and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to move here,” concluded Laurie.
