Connect: Rancho Mission Viejo Adds Five Neighborhoods for 55+ Residents
Rancho Mission Viejo said Monday that Del Webb, Lennar and Tri Pointe Homes will build 326 homes in five new neighborhoods for the newest village on The Ranch, Gavilán Ridge, exclusively for 55+ residents.
“With the large and growing population of Baby Boomers reaching retirement age and GenX not far behind, demand for 55+ living is at an all-time high,” said Kris Maher, SVP of community development, Rancho Mission Viejo. The new neighborhoods include Lavender by Tri Pointe Homes, Nova by Lennar, Strata by Lennar, Luna by Del Webb and Elara by Del Webb.
At completion, Rancho Mission Viejo will encompass approximately 6,000 acres, or 25% of the 23,000-acre historic ranch, and provide multiple villages with up to 14,000 homes, including approximately 6,000 homes for 55+ residents. About 17,000 acres will be preserved for the large habitat conservation area known as The Nature Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo, along with ranching and farming.
