Couple Ages Gracefully at Rancho Mission Viejo’s Village of Rienda
Rancho Mission Viejo (June 6, 2024) - Growing with a community can be challenging, especially as one’s needs shift over time. Annie and Dan Goldman, however, found that their community continuously met their evolving needs.
In 2018, the couple moved to Rancho Mission Viejo, initially settling into an all-age neighborhood at Topaz in the Village of Esencia. There, they lived above a sports park in a large house with a beautiful view and plenty of space to host their children and grandchildren.
“We were drawn to Esencia for many reasons but mainly because it seemed to have everything that made life great. From the restaurants to the grocery store, hiking trails, and pools, we felt we would be able to live a wonderful life of convenience and connection,” said Annie.
Over time though, they found it increasingly challenging to maintain a larger house and desired more company from individuals their age. As their needs evolved, they made the decision to downsize and relocate to the Gavilán 55+ neighborhood of Pearl by Lennar in the new Village of Rienda.
Their brand new cozy two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom, single-level living home, provides them with the perfect balance of comfort and privacy.
“We wanted to stay on The Ranch and remain close to the wonderful community of friends we created but in a smaller home as we both get older,” said Annie. “At Pearl, we get all the same perks and benefits of living on The Ranch with a home and the responsibilities that come with it at half the size.”
Gavilán neighborhoods, The Ranch’s brand for the unique 55+ lifestyle, allows residents to stay connected to every generation while enjoying exclusive access to resort-style amenities, events, and activities designed for those who enjoy a vibrant lifestyle.
“We have been able to build a community where we live. Whether we’re on one of the many hiking trails at The Nature Reserve, enjoying our exclusive Gavilán amenities like The Perch, or taking our grandkids to the lagoon pool at Ranch Camp, we are able to enjoy all the community has to offer. And when we want to, just, you know, be “seniors”, we have plenty to do on that end as well.”
The couple takes advantage of all the amenities at The Ranch and finds that they are great places to meet like-minded people who also love swimming and hiking. The Ranch is the perfect place to foster relationships, focus on your well-being, and age gracefully.
“The Ranch really is for people of all ages and life stages,” said Dan. “Even though we live in a 55+ neighborhood, we’re just right around the corner from families and young kids, which we love. It is truly a place for everyone.”
The Goldmans are looking forward to enjoying their summer on The Ranch and continuing to gather with friends and family in the place they call home.
“There is really no reason to leave The Ranch because we have everything we need right here. And it’s just going to get bigger and better,” said Dan.
