Home for the Holidays at Rancho Mission Viejo’s Village of Rienda
Rancho Mission Viejo, CA (November 11, 2024) - Josh Miller and his family will be home just in time for Christmas, in their new home in Rancho Mission Viejo’s Village of Rienda.
“We love celebrating Christmas,” said Miller, adding that the biggest decision for the family is how to decorate and socialize around an anticipated December 16 th closing date.
Miller has been renting in the Village of Esencia since he and his family made the move from Chicago to plant roots in the California sunshine. “My sister already lived in Rienda when we were looking to make our move,” Miller said of discovering Rancho Mission Viejo. “We saw how much everyone loved living here and how much they enjoyed the amenities and lifestyle, and really started to see ourselves living here, too.”
The couple decided to take some of the pressure off and opted to rent while they got a feel for the community and the surrounding area to be sure it was where they wanted to be long term. Turns out, The Ranch exceeded all expectations and when the opportunity to buy in the popular Village of Rienda arose, Miller did not hesitate.
The Millers are set to move into a their 2,100-square-foot home by award-winning builder, Shea Homes, in their Bloom neighborhood, before Christmas. The family is even turning their loft into a fifth bedroom, and the new home will have all the bandwidth needed for Miller, who does cybersecurity work, to have a home office.
“We got the house we wanted with the floorplan we wanted, and couldn’t be more excited,” Miller said. “When it makes sense, it makes sense.”
The Ranch and its first-class amenities immediately checked all his boxes, from community pools, public areas, and well-appointed clubhouses to neighboring upscale and casual restaurants, various entertainment opportunities and upscale markets. More important were the family lifestyle opportunities for the Millers’ three kids, between the ages of two and six.
“What appealed to us most about The Ranch was the opportunity to build friendships – for both me and my wife as well as my kids. The Ranch is teeming with young families just like ours,” said Miller.
Shea Homes hosted an ice cream social for incoming residents and Miller said his kids have already met and started to make friends with neighbors. In fact, the Millers are already planning a get-together with a neighbor's family.
The community also offers playgrounds and spaces for sports and outdoor recreation, not to mention the 20,000-square-foot Ranch Cove, a lagoon-style pool with water play, a wading pool and a cascading stream in Rienda.
Even more important to growing families like the Millers, “the schools are fantastic. My oldest daughter is in love with her kindergarten teacher, and a new school is scheduled to be built near our house, which is great.”
Homes currently selling in Rienda range from 922 to 2,182 square feet and start in the high $500s.
