RanchLife Brings Residents Closer to Home
For Kenny, a resident of Rancho Mission Viejo for the past 6 years, volunteering is more than just giving back - it’s a way of life. “As a retiree, I now have the time to volunteer and help the community in all aspects,” Kenny shared.
The Ranch’s volunteer program has added value to Kenny’s life by allowing him to spend time outdoors in the beautiful surroundings. “Volunteering gave me the chance to get outside and enjoy the beautiful area in which we live,” he said. His experiences have created cherished memories, especially from the community’s frequent blood drives.
“During my volunteer hours at the many blood drives on The Ranch, I get to meet like-minded people who volunteer their time and blood for the good of the community,” Kenny recalled.
Blood drives consistently draw volunteers from within The Ranch and neighboring areas, with many feeling inspired to donate after being impacted by blood donations themselves or through loved ones.
The strong sense of community spirit at events like blood drives keeps volunteers like Kenny coming back time and again. Blood drives boast some of the highest retention rates among The Ranch’s volunteer events, a testament to the enduring impact of giving back.
For Kenny and many other residents, volunteering is an integral part of life at Rancho Mission Viejo. By generously sharing their time and talents, residents create a vibrant community that enriches all who call The Ranch home.
