Rancho Mission Viejo’s Gavilán 55+ Living Has ‘Exceeded All Expectations’ for Retired Couple

Rancho Mission Viejo, CA (October 17, 2024) - Harold and Deanne Rosenson spent a majority of their lives in Anaheim and were searching for the perfect community to settle into as they approached retirement.

Their search led them to discover Rancho Mission Viejo and its Village of Sendero. The Gavlián 55+ neighborhood by Shea Homes spoke to them from the first time they toured model homes and today, the couple can hardly believe that nearly 10 years have passed since they moved there.

Now, we take full advantage of all of it, and they are such a great perk of living here.”

The couple loves spending time in their California great room and enjoys the beautiful hillside and trail views from their backyard.

Harold says that since their arrival a decade ago, “The Ranch has evolved beautifully.”

The additions of the Villages of Esencia and Rienda have brought even more clubs and amenities for residents, with multiple parks and pools for their grandchildren to enjoy.

“Organized events like golf cart crawls and concerts have made it a lively community,” Harold added. “Plus, our adult children and grandkids often join us making each event even more enjoyable.”

Harold also actively volunteers with the school program at The Nature Reserve and has dedicated over 500 volunteer hours since moving to The Ranch.

“The opportunities for hikes, lectures, and astronomy nights are fantastic,” Harold said. “I also enjoy helping with the trail clearing and fire watch volunteer program. The Ranch is a great place to live and we’re so happy here.”
