El Prado in Lights is a magical celebration of the holiday season. Every December, the winding pathways to El Prado (Sendero’s community core) are decorated with lights to create a dazzling luminescent ambiance. New and future residents gather together to be serenaded by carolers, sip on hot cocoa and eggnog, decorate ornaments, and donate toys for underserved children. This December will mark the 4th year of El Prado in Lights.
WestFest is a month-long celebration of Western-inspired activities held every August (ongoing for 4 years), culminating with one of the biggest events of the year—the RMV Rodeo. The Reserve is a 21,000-acre nature preserve located next to Esencia. This spacious land is intended for recreational, ecological, scientific, and conservational use. The Reserve hosts public events like docent-led hikes, tours, astronomy nights, animal lectures, and bird-watching tours.
